Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks is one of the darkest and most emotional stories in the Dragon Ball franchise. The ruined future, Gohan’s sacrifice, and Trunks’ struggle against the Androids give the special a serious tone that stands apart from the main series. Trunks’ character development is especially powerful, turning him from a frightened survivor into a determined warrior.
